[Don’t leave me]

you’ve hurt me countless times,
yet i still love you.
you lied to me again and again,
yet i still tried to trust you again and again.

i was running when you were standing still.
i was screaming when you were quiet.

i was exhausted, but i kept on running.

a question came across my mind
“was it fun to be laughing while i was tearing apart?”

i was holding on for so long, until there come the moment when i’m too tired to run, to walk, or even to crawl.

and so the thought of leaving you got into my mind.

then just in the right time, i saw a paper that you gave me months ago.
“3 words, don’t leave me.”
those words were written on it.

magically my mind was changed by a single piece of paper.

it got me thinking to myself…
“maybe i should give you another chance”
despite all those chances i gave you.
“maybe you’ll do something, i just need to wait”
despite how long i have been waiting.

“Don’t leave me,” you said.
I didn’t leave, but you did.
